| The MSO DanceSport competition has a few simple rules: |
- Every competitor (includng Professionals) must be 50 or more years old and registered with the Senior Olympics.
- If you are dancing with more than one partner, please complete a registration form for each partnership.
- We reserve the right to cancel dance events with limited participation, to combine heats when appropriate and to limit the number of times an individual dancer may compete in a given rhythm or category.
- Levels:
- Social Level is for dancers with no formal dance training.
- Intermediate is for dancers with up to 2 years of lessons.
- Advanced Level is for dancers who have taken lessons for 2 or more years.
- Pro/Am entries are welcome, however the Professional must be at least 50 years old and registered with the MSO. (There are no Pro/Pro heats at this event.)
- For purposes of this event, a professional is defined as anyone who makes 50% or more of their living teaching or performing dance.
- No fancy costumes for Social Level.
- No lifts or drops, please.
- Please be in the Ballroom one-half hour before your scheduled heat.
