| THE MSO 2010 SUMMER GAMES DANCESPORT COMPETITION HAS A FEW SIMPLE RULES: |
- Every amateur competitor must be 50 or more years old and registered with the Senior Olympics.
- New this year: Professionals may be any age. Pros may dance all rhythms twice and in addition they may dance two of the rhythms three times.
- If you are dancing with more than one partner, please complete a registration form for each partnership.
- Your age category is determined by the age you will be as of December 31, 2010. You must register in your proper age group. Your Age Group for a particular heat is based on the youngest person of the partnership unless it is a Pro/Am heat, in which case the Age Group is based on the age of the Amateur.
- Except for Pros as described above, no one may dance the same rhythm more than twice.
- There are two Levels:
- Intermediate is for dancers with up to 2 years of lessons.
- Advanced is for dancers who have taken lessons for 2 or more years.
- Pro/Am entries are welcome (the Professional must register with the MSO). There are no Pro/Pro heats at this event.
- For purposes of this event, a professional is defined as anyone who makes 50% or more of their living teaching or performing dance.
- No lifts or drops, please.
- Please be in the Ballroom one-half hour before your scheduled heat.
